التقى معالي وزير الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل الدكتور محمد سعيد الزعوري، صباح اليوم في مكتبه بالعاصمة المؤقتة عدن، النائب الجديد للممثل المقيم لصندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان في اليمن السيد مصطفى الكنزي.
وفي مستهل اللقاء، رحّب الوزير الزعوري بالسيد الكنزي، متمنياً له التوفيق في مهامه الجديدة، ومؤكداً حرص الوزارة على تقديم كافة التسهيلات اللازمة لإنجاح عمل الصندوق ومواصلة تنفيذ برامجه في اليمن.
وأكد معاليه أهمية تعزيز الشراكة القائمة بين الوزارة وصندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان، لاسيّما في مجالات حماية المرأة وتمكينها، ودعم برامج إدارة الحالة للناجيات من العنف، والخدمات الاجتماعية والنفسية، والاستشارات القانونية، إضافة إلى التدريب والتأهيل المهني للنساء والفتيات.
كما عبّر الوزير الزعوري عن تقديره للجهود التي بذلها السيد هشام نهرو خلال فترة عمله السابقة نائباً للممثل المقيم للصندوق في بلادنا ، متمنيا له دوام التوفيق والنجاح في مهامه الإنسانية الجديدة التي أوكلت إليه .
من جانبه، عبّر السيد مصطفى الكنزي عن شكره وتقديره لمعالي الوزير على حفاوة الاستقبال، مؤكداً تطلعه إلى توسيع مجالات التعاون بين الجانبين خلال المرحلة المقبلة عبر برامج ومشاريع مستدامة، تعزز الشراكات الفاعلة مع وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل على مختلف المستويات.
Minister Al-Zaouri Discusses Strengthening Joint Cooperation with the Deputy Resident Representative of UNFPA

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zaouri, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, met this morning in his office in the interim capital, Aden, with Mr. Mostafa El-Kenzi, the newly appointed Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Yemen.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Al-Zaouri welcomed Mr. El-Kenzi, wishing him success in his new duties, and affirmed the ministry’s commitment to providing all necessary support and facilitation to ensure the success of UNFPA’s work and the continuation of its programs in Yemen.
His Excellency emphasized the importance of strengthening the existing partnership between the Ministry and UNFPA, particularly in the areas of women’s protection and empowerment, support for case management programs for survivors of violence, provision of social and psychological services, legal counseling, as well as vocational training and capacity-building for women and girls.
Minister Al-Zaouri also expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by Mr. Hisham Nahro during his previous tenure as Deputy Resident Representative of UNFPA in Yemen, wishing him continued success in his new humanitarian assignments.
For his part, Mr. Mostafa El-Kenzi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Minister for the warm welcome, affirming his eagerness to expand areas of cooperation between the two sides in the coming period through sustainable programs and projects that strengthen active partnerships with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor at various levels.
