انطلقت صباح اليوم في العاصمة عدن أعمال مؤتمر “تعزيز التعاون بين وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل ومنظمات المجتمع المدني في إطار تمكين الفضاء المدني”، ضمن مشروع صانع أثر 4، برعاية معالي وزير الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل الدكتور محمد سعيد الزعوري، وتنفيذ مؤسسة رنين بدعم من منظمة PAX الهولندية.
وفي كلمته الافتتاحية، نقل وكيل قطاع الرعاية الاجتماعية صالح محمود حسن تحيات معالي الوزير الزعوري للمشاركين، مؤكداً حرص الوزارة على تعزيز التنسيق والشراكة المستدامة مع منظمات المجتمع المدني، بما يسهم في تمكين العمل المجتمعي ومواجهة التحديات الاقتصادية التي تمر بها البلاد.
وأشار الوكيل إلى أهمية تكاتف الجهود الحكومية والمجتمعية في دعم الفئات الضعيفة وتنفيذ مشاريع تنموية مستدامة، داعياً إلى تعزيز التعاون بين القطاعين العام والخاص والمنظمات المحلية والدولية لتحقيق المصلحة الوطنية المشتركة.
من جانبه، أشاد ويليام كولي، رئيس قسم حماية الطفل بمنظمة اليونيسف، بالشراكة المثمرة مع وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل، مؤكداً التزام المنظمة بمواصلة دعم الأطفال والفئات المستضعفة رغم التحديات وشح الموارد.
وتخللت المؤتمر جلسات نقاشية شارك فيها مدير عام الجمعيات محمد علي الصماتي وممثلون عن منظمات المجتمع المدني واليونيسف، ركزت على سبل تعزيز الثقة والتنسيق المشترك لتحقيق تنمية مستدامة.
واختتمت أعمال المؤتمر بعد مناقشة أبرز التحديات التي تواجه منظمات المجتمع المدني، وخرجت بعدة توصيات أبرزها:
تطوير آليات التنسيق بين الوزارة والمنظمات المدنية.
وتعزيز قنوات التواصل وبناء الثقة بين الفاعلين الحكوميين والمجتمعيين.
وكذلك تحديد العقبات والفرص لتحسين مشاركة منظمات المجتمع المدني في التنمية الوطنية
Conference on Enhancing Cooperation Between the Ministry of Social Affairs and Civil Society Organizations Kicks Off in the Capital, Aden

The activities of the conference titled “Enhancing Cooperation Between the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and Civil Society Organizations within the Framework of Empowering Civic Space” commenced this morning in the capital, Aden.
The event is part of the “Impact Maker 4” project, held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zauri, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, and implemented by Raneen Foundation with the support of the Dutch organization PAX.
In his opening speech, Saleh Mahmoud Hassan, Deputy Minister for the Social Care Sector, conveyed the greetings of Minister Al-Zauri to the participants, affirming the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening coordination and sustainable partnership with civil society organizations. He emphasized that such collaboration contributes to empowering community work and addressing the economic challenges facing the country.
The Deputy Minister highlighted the importance of joint governmental and societal efforts in supporting vulnerable groups and implementing sustainable development projects. He called for enhanced cooperation between the public and private sectors, as well as local and international organizations, to achieve shared national interests.
For his part, William Cooley, Head of the Child Protection Section at UNICEF, praised the fruitful partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, reaffirming UNICEF’s commitment to continue supporting children and vulnerable groups despite challenges and limited resources.
The conference featured panel discussions with the participation of Mohammed Ali Al-Samati, Director General of Associations, alongside representatives from civil society organizations and UNICEF. The sessions focused on ways to strengthen trust and promote joint coordination to achieve sustainable development.
The conference concluded with discussions on the main challenges facing civil society organizations and produced several key recommendations, including:
Developing coordination mechanisms between the Ministry and civil organizations.
Enhancing communication channels and building trust between governmental and community actors.
Identifying obstacles and opportunities to improve the participation of civil society organizations in national development.
