تواصل اللجنة التحكيمية العمالية المختصة بالفصل في منازعات العمل، صباح اليوم، في ديوان عام الوزارة بالعاصمة عدن، عقد جلساتها للنظر في عدد من القضايا العمالية، التي شملت دعاوى متعلقة باستحقاقات مالية “رواتب”، وأخرى خاصة بإصابات العمل، إضافة إلى قضايا مرتبطة بمطالبات مالية لم تُسدد من قِبل أصحاب العمل، وغيرها من القضايا ذات الصلة.
وأوضح رئيس اللجنة التحكيمية، القاضي الدكتور مرسي أحمد محمد، الذي ترأس جلسات اليوم، وبحضور أعضاء اللجنة: حامد عمر باحويرث (ممثل النقابات العمالية)، ووداد وجدي عبدالله (ممثل الغرفة التجارية والصناعية)، أنه تم النظر خلال الجلسات في دعوتين مرفوعتين ضد كل من منظمة “أطباء بلا حدود” الفرنسية – فرع عدن، والخطوط الجوية اليمنية، مشيراً إلى أنه تم الاستماع لكافة الأطراف والاطلاع على طلباتهم.
وأكد القاضي مرسي أن اللجنة تعمل بجدية ونشاط للنظر في عشر قضايا منظورة أمامها، وتعقد جلساتها بشكل أسبوعي، في حين لا تزال خمس قضايا أخرى قيد الانتظار.
يُذكر أن اللجنة التحكيمية المختصة بالفصل في منازعات العمل في العاصمة عدن ومحافظات لحج وأبين والضالع، أعيد تشكيلها بموجب قرار معالي الدكتور محمد سعيد الزعوري، وزير الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل، وتضم في عضويتها: مرسي أحمد الزبيدي (ممثل الوزارة) رئيساً، وحامد عمر باحويرث (ممثل النقابات العمالية)، ووداد وجدي عبدالله (ممثل الغرفة التجارية والصناعية).
وقد أدى أعضاء اللجنة اليمين القانونية أمام معالي الوزير في الثاني عشر من مايو الماضي، وذلك استناداً إلى المادة (138) من القانون رقم (5) لسنة 1995 بشأن العمل وتعديلاته، والتي تنص على أن “يحلف كل من رئيس وأعضاء لجنة التحكيم أمام الوزير”.
Labor Arbitration Committee Continues Sessions to Resolve Labor Disputes

The specialized Labor Arbitration Committee for resolving labor disputes continued its sessions this morning at the Ministry’s headquarters in the capital, Aden, to review a number of labor-related cases. These included claims related to financial entitlements (salaries), cases concerning work injuries, as well as disputes involving unpaid financial claims by employers, in addition to other related matters.
The Chairman of the Arbitration Committee, Judge Dr. Mursi Ahmed Mohammed, who presided over today’s sessions in the presence of committee members Hamed Omar Bahowirth (Representative of Labor Unions) and Widad Wagdy Abdullah (Representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry), explained that the sessions reviewed two cases filed against Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) – French section, Aden branch, and Yemen Airways. He noted that all parties were heard and their requests reviewed.
Judge Mursi affirmed that the Committee is working diligently and actively to address ten cases currently under consideration, holding its sessions on a weekly basis, while another five cases remain pending.
It is noteworthy that the Labor Arbitration Committee responsible for resolving labor disputes in the capital Aden and the governorates of Lahj, Abyan, and Al-Dhalea was reconstituted pursuant to the decision of H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zaouri, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor. Its membership includes: Mursi Ahmed Al-Zubaidi (Ministry Representative) as Chairman, Hamed Omar Bahowirth (Labor Unions Representative), and Widad Wagdy Abdullah (Chamber of Commerce and Industry Representative).
The committee members took the legal oath before the Minister on May 12 of this year, in accordance with Article (138) of Law No. (5) of 1995 concerning Labor and its amendments, which stipulates that “the Chairman and members of the Arbitration Committee shall take an oath before the Minister.”
