أشاد وكيل وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل، الأستاذ صالح محمود حسن أبو سهيل، بالدور الحيوي الذي تؤديه الجمعيات والمؤسسات الخيرية في خدمة المجتمع، مؤكداً التزام الوزارة بدعم هذه الكيانات وتطوير أنشطتها بما يسهم في تعزيز قيم التكافل الاجتماعي وتحقيق التنمية المستدامة.
جاء ذلك خلال كلمته في الحفل التكريمي الذي نظمته جمعية يافع الخيرية التنموية للبروفيسور قاسم الأصبحي، تقديراً لجهوده البارزة في العمل الخيري والبحث العلمي وقيادته المتميزة للجمعية، إلى جانب إسهاماته في تنفيذ المخيمات الطبية المجانية.
ونقل أبو سهيل في كلمته تهاني وتقدير معالي وزير الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل الدكتور محمد سعيد الزعوري، متمنياً للدكتور الأصبحي مزيداً من النجاح والعطاء في مسيرته العلمية والإنسانية.
من جانبه، عبّر الأستاذ الدكتور قاسم الأصبحي عن عميق شكره وامتنانه لهذا التكريم، مشيراً إلى أن الجمعية ومنذ تأسيسها في 28 أغسطس 1998م، قدمت نموذجاً رائداً في كفالة الأيتام، ودعم الأسر الفقيرة والمرضى، وتوزيع السلال الغذائية بشكل منتظم في محافظة عدن، مضيفًا أنه تشرف بخدمة الجمعية في مواقع قيادية متعددة، كان آخرها رئاسة الجمعية لثلاث دورات متتالية.
وشهد الحفل تكريم الدكتور الأصبحي من قبل عدد من الجهات والمؤسسات، منها: جمعية يافع الخيرية التنموية، مستشفى الجمهورية التعليمي، مستشفى عدن الألماني، مستشفى النقيب التخصصي، واتحاد الجمعيات والمؤسسات الخيرية التنموية في المحافظات، وجمعيات: الضبي، كلد، القعيطي، الرواسي، أبناء يافع في حضرموت، والناخبي.
حضر الفعالية نخبة من الشخصيات الاجتماعية والعسكرية والأكاديمية، بينهم الدكتور محمد العياشي مدير مستشفى عدن الألماني، الدكتور محمد عبدالحافظ النقيب مدير مستشفى النقيب، والدكتور محمد السقاف مدير هيئة مستشفى الجمهورية، إضافة إلى رؤساء جمعيات وشخصيات اعتبارية أخرى.

The Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mr. Saleh Mahmoud Hassan Abu Suhail, praised the vital role played by charitable associations and organizations in serving the community. He affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting these entities and enhancing their activities to strengthen the values of social solidarity and achieve sustainable development.
This came during his speech at the honorary ceremony organized by the Yafea Charitable Development Association in recognition of Professor Qasim Al-Asbahi, acknowledging his outstanding efforts in charitable work, scientific research, and his exceptional leadership of the association, as well as his contributions to organizing free medical camps.
In his speech, Abu Suhail conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zawari, wishing Dr. Al-Asbahi continued success and contributions in his academic and humanitarian journey.
For his part, Professor Qasim Al-Asbahi expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for this honor. He pointed out that since its founding on August 28, 1998, the association has been a leading example in sponsoring orphans, supporting poor families and patients, and regularly distributing food baskets in Aden Governorate. He added that he was honored to serve the association in various leadership roles, most recently as its president for three consecutive terms.
The event included honoring Dr. Al-Asbahi by several entities and institutions, including: the Yafea Charitable Development Association, Al-Gumhuriya Teaching Hospital, Aden German Hospital, Al-Naqeeb Specialized Hospital, the Union of Charitable and Developmental Associations in the Governorates, and the associations of Dhabee, Kald, Al-Qaiti, Al-Rawasi, Sons of Yafea in Hadhramaut, and Al-Nakhebi.
The ceremony was attended by a group of social, military, and academic figures, including Dr. Mohammed Al-Ayashi, Director of Aden German Hospital; Dr. Mohammed Abdulhafidh Al-Naqeeb, Director of Al-Naqeeb Hospital; and Dr. Mohammed Al-Saqqaf, Director of Al-Gumhuriya Hospital, along with heads of associations and other notable figures.
