دشن معالي الدكتور محمد سعيد الزعوري وزير الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل صباح اليوم بالعاصمة عدن وبمعية وكيل محافظة عدن الأستاذ عبدالحكيم الشعبي وكيل محافظة عدن والدكتور عبدالله محمد علي من بيت الزكاة الكويتي مشروع الاغاثة العاجلة للمتضررين من الامطار والسيول في محافظتي عدن ولحج بتمويل من بيت الزكاة بدولة الكوويت الشقيقة وتنفيذ جمعية الحكمة اليمانية الخيرية.
وفي حفل التدشين ادلى معالي الوزير الزعوري بتصريح لوسائل الاعلام اكد فيه على الدعم السخي التي تقدمه دولة الكويت الشقيقة لبلادنا ..وقال..”نتقدم بالشكر الجزيل لدولة الكويت الشقيقة حكومة وشعبا وقيادة على الدعم السخي الذي يقدم لبلادنا وايضا للمؤسسات الخيرية الفاعلة التي تدعم باستمرار وبشكل متواصل ، ليس فقط ، في الازمات ،ولكن حتى في الاوقات الطبيعية وهذا ليس بغريب على دولة الكويت كما نكرر الشكر والتقدر لبيت الزكاة الكويتي التي تعمل جاهدة بالتعاون مع وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل والمؤسسات الخيرية الفاعلة الخيرة في البلاد لتقديم مثل هذه المساعدات .. والشكر ايضا لجمعية الحكمة وبقية المؤسسات التي تقدم المساعدات لبلادنا”
وشمل التدشين الذي يستفيد منه أكثر من 9,260 مستفيداً وتشمل الحقائب الإيوائية والسلل الغذائية بالاضافة الى ثلاجة كهربائية، شولة غاز، خلاط كهربائي، دينمة ماء، ثلاجة شاهي، قلاصات زجاجية، فرش، مخدات وطراحات) والخدمات الصحية عبر العيادات المتنقلة والأدوية المجانية إضافة إلى حملات النظافة ورفع مخلفات السيول .
كما جرى دعم المجمع الصحي في الحسوة والمجمع الصحي في البريقة بالأدوية والمستلزمات الطبية .
الجدير للذكر انه تم يوم امس مديرية الملاح بمحافظة لحج وضمن انشطة المشروع توزيع السلل الغذائية والإيوائية وتشغيل عيادتين طبيتين متنقلتين لتقديم الخدمات الصحية العاجلة من معاينة وفحوصات وتوزيع أدوية مجانية للأسر المتضررة .
ويأتي هذا المشروع استجابة للمناشدة العاجلة التي اطلقتها وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل الشهر الماضي إلى كافة المنظمات الدولية والإقليمية والأممية، والمنظمات الحكومية وغير الحكومية، ومنظمات المجتمع المدني، والمؤسسات الخيرية، ورجال المال والأعمال، من أجل تقديم الدعم والمساندة العاجلة للأسر المتضررة من كارثة السيول الجارفة والأمطار الغزيرة التي شهدتها مديريات العاصمة عدن ومحافظة لحج صباح السبت الموافق 23 أغسطس 2025م.

Minister Al-Zaouri Launches Emergency Relief Project Provided by Kuwait for Victims of Floods and Heavy Rains in Aden and Lahj

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zaouri, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, inaugurated this morning in the capital, Aden, the emergency relief project for those affected by floods and heavy rains in Aden and Lahj Governorates. The project is funded by the Kuwait Zakat House and implemented by Al-Hikma Al-Yemeniya Charitable Association, in the presence of Mr. Abdulhakim Al-Shaabi, Deputy Governor of Aden, and Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Ali representing the Kuwait
Zakat House.
In his remarks during the inauguration,
Minister Al-Zaouri expressed deep
appreciation for the generous and continuous support extended by the State of Kuwait to Yemen. He stated:
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the government, leadership, and people of the State of Kuwait for their unwavering generosity and ongoing assistance to our nation. This support is not limited to times of crisis but continues even in normal circumstances—a reflection of Kuwait’s long-standing humanitarian commitment. We also convey our sincere thanks and appreciation to the Kuwait Zakat House for its tireless efforts, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and charitable organizations in Yemen, to provide vital assistance. Special thanks are also extended to Al-Hikma Association and all institutions contributing to this noble cause.”
The project, which will benefit more than 9,260 people, includes the distribution of shelter kits, food baskets, and household items such as refrigerators, gas stoves, electric blenders, water pumps, tea refrigerators, glassware, mattresses, pillows, and bedding. In addition, the initiative provides healthcare services through mobile clinics and free medicines, alongside cleaning campaigns and the removal of flood debris.
Medical supplies and pharmaceuticals were also provided to Al-Haswa Health Complex and Al-Buraika Health Complex.
As part of the project’s activities, food and shelter baskets were distributed yesterday in Al-Malah District, Lahj Governorate. Two mobile medical clinics were also deployed to provide urgent healthcare services, including consultations, examinations, and the distribution of free medicines to affected families.
This initiative comes in response to the urgent appeal issued last month by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor to international, regional, and UN organizations, as well as governmental and non-governmental institutions, civil society organizations, charitable bodies, and business leaders, calling for emergency support to families impacted by the devastating floods and torrential rains that struck Aden and Lahj Governorates on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohammed Hammoud, Director General of the Social Affairs and Labor Office in Aden, and Engineer Mohammed Abdulwasae, Head of Al-Hikma Al-Yemeniya Charitable Association – Aden Branch.
